PRISM Streaming

Windows

PRISM Live Studio Beta lets you use PRISM Streaming to send the same broadcast to multiple channels at once.

Connect the channels you want to use, then use PRISM Streaming to send your broadcast to multiple platforms at the same time.

Follow the steps below to set up Multistream.

Note:

  • To use Multistream in PRISM Streaming, subscribe to PRISM Plus. You can stream to up to six channels at the same time.

  • For plan details, see the PRISM Plus guide.

To use Multistream, set the Stream service to PRISM Streaming.

1

Click File > Settings in the top menu, or click Settings in Controls, to open Settings.

2

4

Add another channel

  1. In the PRISM Streaming dock, click the + button and select the platform you want to add.

  1. Sign in to the platform account to complete the connection.

    • Repeat these steps to add more channels.

Add a Custom RTMP channel

2. In URL, select the platform you want to connect.

3. Copy the Stream Key from the platform's streamer dashboard, paste it, then click Save.

  • The location and validity period of a Stream Key can vary by platform. For a detailed example using a Twitch RTMP preset, see the RTMP connection guide.

3. Manage PRISM Streaming channels

Turn a channel on/off

  • Use the switch on the right side of each channel to control whether that channel joins the broadcast.

  • Only channels with their switches turned on join the broadcast when you click Start Streaming. Turning off a switch does not disconnect the channel.

  • Click the share icon on the right side of a channel. In the Share Broadcast window, click Copy to copy that channel's broadcast link.

  • In the Share Broadcast window, you can also click the Facebook or X icon to open the corresponding platform and share the broadcast.

More options

  • The commands available in each channel's More options menu vary by platform.

  • For Twitch and YouTube, you can open the platform's streamer dashboard. For a Custom RTMP channel, use Custom channel settings to view or edit the connection details.

  • To disconnect a channel, select Disconnect.

4. Set up Manage Broadcast

In the Controls area, click Manage Broadcast to set broadcast details for each connected platform.

Set broadcast details for each platform

  • Select the platform tab at the top.

  • Enter the broadcast details supported by the platform.

  • Click Save to save your changes.

The available fields differ by platform.

  • For example, Twitch lets you set the title, category, tags, and stream language. YouTube lets you set the title, privacy, category, description, stream latency, and whether the content is made for kids.

Check recommended output settings

  • In the top-right corner of the Manage Broadcast screen, click Output setting guide.

  • Check the recommended resolution and FPS for each platform, along with any feature limitations.

  • If Apply now appears, click it to apply the recommended settings in PRISM Live Studio.

For guidance on choosing resolution and output settings, see the PRISM Streaming Resolution Recommendations guide.

5. Start multistreaming

After completing the setup, confirm that the switches are turned on for the channels you want to stream to. Then, in the Controls area, click Start Streaming to start streaming.

  • When streaming begins, PRISM sends the broadcast to every platform set to Turn channel on. You can monitor Dropped Frames, live duration, CPU usage, and FPS in the status bar at the bottom right.
