How to Fix Window/Display Capture Failure

If Window/Display Capture fails in the PRISM PC app, check the error message in the preview area and follow the steps below.


1. Invalid Window/Display Handle

Error Message

The selected window is closed or disconnected. Please make sure the program you want to capture is running.

If the window has been closed or the display is disconnected, capture may fail.

Solution:

  1. Make sure the program you want to capture is currently running.

2. Window Not Visible

Error Message

The window is minimized, so it cannot be captured. Please reopen and activate the window.

If the window is minimized, it cannot be captured.

Solution:

  1. Restore the window and activate it.

3. Unknown Error

Error Message

An issue occurred while capturing the window. Please reselect the window or try again shortly.

Capture may fail due to an unknown error.

Solution:

  1. Re-select the window or try again after a moment.
