Broadcasters must verify the permission status of each platform before starting a stream. Error 28006 occurs when YouTube streaming permissions are not enabled or when the account is in a waiting period after verification. This guide explains how to check your feature eligibility settings in YouTube Studio to resolve this issue.

Cause

This error is triggered when the linked YouTube account does not have live streaming permissions or the permissions have recently been requested and are still being processed.

Solutions:

1. Check YouTube Feature Eligibility: Access YouTube Studio and navigate to Settings > Channel > Feature eligibility. You can also go directly to https://www.youtube.com/features.

2. Verify Activation Status: Ensure that the following three categories are marked as 'Enabled':

   • Standard features

   • Intermediate features

   • Advanced features

3. Wait 24 Hours: If you have just enabled live streaming or completed account verification, the YouTube system may take up to 24 hours to fully activate your permissions. Please try again once this period has passed.
