PRISM Desktop is an all-in-one streaming app for live broadcasts, allowing you to easily stream high-quality content to multiple platforms.

From channel setup to layout design and going live, follow the basic steps of using PRISM Desktop to start your stream with ease and stability.

Understanding the Main Screen

Before you begin streaming, take a look at the layout and basic features of the main screen.

Dock Features:

  • Freely move or detach the Scenes, Sources, and Audio Mixer sections by dragging.

  • Use the [â‹®] button in each section to Detach or Attach the area.

  • Drag the edges to adjust the size of each section.

Preparing for Live Streaming

Adding a Channel

Add the platform channel you want to stream to:

1

Select a platform or Custom RTMP from the channel list at the top.

Alternatively, click the [â‹®] button in the My Channel section at the top left and select Add Channels.

2

In the Add Channels window, choose a platform or RTMP channel to link.

3

Hover over the added channel at the top and use the On/Off switch to select your output channels. (You can stream on up to 6 channels simultaneously.)

Setting Up Your Stream Information

For channels added through service linking, you can set your stream title, category, visibility, and more. These can be modified before going live or even during your stream.

1

Hover over the added channel at the top and click the Live Information button.

2

In the Live Information window, enter or edit the stream title, category, visibility, etc.

Changes will be instantly applied to the connected platform.

Automatically Applying Recommended Resolutions for Platforms

To easily apply the recommended resolution and FPS for each platform:

1

Click Output Setup Guide in the sidebar or Live Information window.

2

Click Apply Now to automatically set the recommended resolution and FPS for the selected platform.

  • Resolution: The clarity of your screen. Higher resolutions provide better quality but may affect PC performance.

  • FPS (Frames Per Second): The number of frames shown per second. A higher FPS makes your video smoother but may cause performance issues on lower-end PCs.

  • It's important to adjust the resolution based on your computer’s specs.

  • You can manually adjust these settings under Settings > Video.

Setting Up the Main Screen

Using Studio Mode

You can create a more stable setup by separating the editing screen from the actual streaming screen.

1

Enable Studio Mode from the right sidebar.

2

After editing on the left screen (EDIT), click the Apply Now [→] button to apply the changes to the right screen.

Viewers will not see the edited content until it’s applied.

Setting Up Dual Output Streaming

If you want to stream both horizontal and vertical screens at the same time, try using Dual Output.

1

Click the Dual Output button in the sidebar.

2

Hover over each channel to choose between horizontal or vertical output. (Up to 6 simultaneous streams are supported)

3

Place your sources on each output screen and start your stream.
