PRISM Desktop is an all-in-one streaming app for live broadcasts, allowing you to easily stream high-quality content to multiple platforms.
From channel setup to layout design and going live, follow the basic steps of using PRISM Desktop to start your stream with ease and stability.
Before you begin streaming, take a look at the layout and basic features of the main screen.
Dock Features:
Freely move or detach the Scenes, Sources, and Audio Mixer sections by dragging.
Use the [â‹®] button in each section to Detach or Attach the area.
Drag the edges to adjust the size of each section.
Add the platform channel you want to stream to:
Select a platform or Custom RTMP from the channel list at the top.
Alternatively, click the [â‹®] button in the My Channel section at the top left and select Add Channels.
In the Add Channels window, choose a platform or RTMP channel to link.
Hover over the added channel at the top and use the On/Off switch to select your output channels. (You can stream on up to 6 channels simultaneously.)
For channels added through service linking, you can set your stream title, category, visibility, and more. These can be modified before going live or even during your stream.
Hover over the added channel at the top and click the Live Information button.
In the Live Information window, enter or edit the stream title, category, visibility, etc.
Changes will be instantly applied to the connected platform.
To easily apply the recommended resolution and FPS for each platform:
Click Output Setup Guide in the sidebar or Live Information window.
Click Apply Now to automatically set the recommended resolution and FPS for the selected platform.
You can create a more stable setup by separating the editing screen from the actual streaming screen.
Enable Studio Mode from the right sidebar.
After editing on the left screen (EDIT), click the Apply Now [→] button to apply the changes to the right screen.
Viewers will not see the edited content until it’s applied.
If you want to stream both horizontal and vertical screens at the same time, try using Dual Output.
Click the Dual Output button in the sidebar.
Hover over each channel to choose between horizontal or vertical output. (Up to 6 simultaneous streams are supported)
Place your sources on each output screen and start your stream.
Prepare different scenes for various stream segments.
Adding Scenes
Click the [+] button in the scene editing area to add a new scene.
Using Scene Templates
Easily design your stream layout using PRISM’s scene templates, which include a variety of backgrounds and widget sources.
Create your stream layout using various sources like camera, audio, game screen, and more.
After selecting the scene you want to edit, click the [+] button in the Sources section to add the desired source.
You can use either a built-in or external camera.
In the Add Source window, select Video Capture Device.
In the Create/Select Source window, click OK to add the source.
In the Source Properties window, choose your camera device under Device.
You can connect a built-in mic or an external audio device.
In the Add Source window, select Audio Input Capture.
In the Create/Select Source window, click OK to add the source.
In the Source Properties window, choose your audio device under Device.
If you'd like to share your screen with viewers, choose the appropriate source depending on the content:
Display Capture Shares your entire screen. (including your desktop and all open windows)
Window Capture Shares only a specific program window. (e.g., PowerPoint, web browser)
Browser Capture Embeds live web content into your stream. (e.g., real-time charts, alert widgets)
Game Capture Captures the screen of a running game with high performance. (Windows OS only) → If it fails, please refer to the guide below How to Fix Game Capture Failure
Capture high-resolution output from VTuber software like VSeeFace, VTube Studio, or Warudo and naturally integrate your virtual avatar into the live stream.
In the Add Source window, select Spout2 Capture.
When the Create/Select Source window opens, click OK to add the source.
In the Source Properties window, select VTuber software under Device.
(e.g., If VSeeFace is running, it will appear in the list.)
Enhance your stream screen with unique PRISM features.
After selecting the scene you want to edit, click the [+] button in the Sources area to add the desired PRISM source.
With the PRISM Lens app, you can use virtual backgrounds, beauty effects, and mobile app integration, then add them as sources in PRISM Desktop.

Use your mobile device’s camera as a webcam for your Desktop.
Show the live chat from your current streaming platform directly on your stream screen.
Text Template: Easily add animated, stylized text.
Viewer Count Widget: Display real-time viewer counts by platform.
PRISM Sticker: Decorate your screen with exclusive PRISM stickers.
GIPHY Sticker: Add lively GIF stickers using free GIPHY content.
Music Playlist: Create playlists using free PRISM music or local files on your Desktop.
Audio Visualizer: Add a sound-reactive visualizer.
Background Template: Use animated image backgrounds to set the mood.
Clock Widget: Add a clock or timer widget to your stream screen.
Open the chat window from the sidebar to communicate with viewers in real time.
Use the PRISM mobile app to remotely control your Desktop stream’s screen. This is ideal for when you're away from your desk.
Click Connect Remote Control from the sidebar to open the connection window.
On the PRISM mobile app, go to the CONNECT menu and scan the QR code shown on your Desktop screen.
Use PRISM Live Studio’s broadcast screen as a virtual camera in other streaming or video conferencing apps.
You can enable or disable the virtual camera by selecting the Start Virtual Camera button on the sidebar.
You can draw directly on the screen.
Enable this setting by selecting the Drawing Mode button on the sidebar, and the drawing tools will appear.

You can add PRISM Lens as a source in PRISM Desktop and use it as a camera device in other live streaming or video conferencing apps.

You can also launch the PRISM Lens app directly from the sidebar in the PRISM Desktop app.
Live streaming and recording can be easily controlled with just a few clicks.
Make sure the channel you want to stream to is turned ON.
Click the Go Live button at the bottom right of the screen.
After confirming or editing your stream info, click Go Live again to begin your stream!
Click the Rec button at the bottom right to start recording.
You can record separately from your live stream (useful for rehearsals, etc.).
When you’re ready to stop streaming, click the Finish button at the bottom right to end your live stream.
Using settings that are too high for your computer’s specifications may cause performance issues.

Only Apple Silicon chips are supported. The minimum supported version is macOS 12.3.
