RTMP (Real-Time Messaging Protocol) is a protocol used to transmit video, audio, and data from the PRISM app to streaming platform servers, requiring both a stream URL and a stream key.
The PRISM app support a login-based method for BAND. However, You may rarely experience login issues within PRISM app with various reasons. Most login failures are resolved within a few hours, you might want to connect temporary while than.
BAND does not provide a static stream key, meaning that the stream key expires when you end a live stream or close the BAND live streaming start page. You will need to repeat this process for each BAND live stream to obtain a valid stream key.
Please note that BAND’s stream key is only valid for 3 minutes. If you do not start live streaming within 3 minutes of acquiring the stream key, you must obtain a new one.
To add BAND via RTMP presets, follow the instructions below:
Click the More button in the upper-left corner, then select 'Add channels' from the popup menu.
Select Add Custom Channel in the Add Channel window.
You can select BAND for login-based connection method in usual, but this time we will select Add Custom Channel.
Click the URL dropdown menu, then select BAND.
When you select the Band, the Custom Channel Information entry window will open. The stream URL will be automatically filled using the RTMP preset, but you must enter your own stream key from the BAND live streaming start page, which is can be accessed through the BAND website. The stream key is a unique code that connects PRISM app to the streaming platform's servers, allowing your stream to be transmitted to your channel. Go to the BAND website and log in to your account.
You can visit the website via the link below:
Go to desired Band to live, then click Live Streaming icon on new post.
The Live Streaming icon is only visible when the Band's manager enabled live streaming option. To enable Live Streaming, contact the Band's manager.
Click the Generate button and copy the Stream Key.
The BAND live streaming start page will open, click the Generate button to get new stream key. Then, copy the Stream Key.
Return to the PRISM app and paste the stream key into the Stream Key section.
Once you’ve entered the stream key, click the Save button. The BAND channel icon will appear in the upper-left corner.
The Output setting guide button shows recommended resolution settings for each platform, which can be applied directly by clicking Apply Now. Note that BAND only supports up to 720p streaming (e.g., 1280x720), so ensure your resolution settings are correctly set.
Once you're ready, click the Go Live button in the lower-right corner.
BAND’s stream key is only valid for 3 minutes. If you do not start live streaming within 3 minutes of acquiring the stream key, you must obtain a new one by repeating Steps 4 to 7.
Return to the BAND live streaming start page, check if the preview is displayed correctly, and click the Go Live button.
Your live stream should now start.
Ensure you do not close the BAND live streaming page, as the live session depends on it.
When you want to end the live stream, click Finish in the PRISM app and click End Stream on the BAND live streaming page separately.
