RTMP (Real-Time Messaging Protocol) is a protocol used to transmit video, audio, and data from the PRISM app to streaming platform servers, requiring both a stream URL and a stream key.
Currently, the PRISM app does not support a login-based method for Kick. An RTMP-based connection is the only viable option; however, RTMP presets for Kick are provided to simplify the connection process.
To add Kick via RTMP presets, click the More button in the upper-left corner, then select Add channels in the popup menu.
The Add Channel window will appear, showing various platform options. Select Kick.
When you select the Kick, the Custom Channel Information entry window will open. The stream URL will be automatically filled using the RTMP preset, but you must enter your own stream key from the Kick website. Instructions on how to retrieve the stream key are provided below:
Once you’ve entered the stream key, click the Save button to complete the process.
The Kick channel icon will appear in the upper-left corner. You can now start broadcasting to Kick.
The stream key is a unique code that connects PRISM app to the streaming platform's servers, allowing your stream to be transmitted to your channel.
To get the stream key for Kick, follow the instructions below:
Go to the Kick website and log in to your account.
You can visit the website via the link below:
Click your profile image in the upper-right corner, then select Settings.
In Settings, navigate to the Stream URL and Key tab.
Locate the Stream Key section, copy it, and paste it into the PRISM app.
