PRISM Live Studio Update Notice (Windows 5.0.2/Mac-2.0.2)

A new update for the PRISM Live Studio PC app will be released soon. Windows will be upgraded to version 5.0.2 and macOS to version 2.0.2. This update will include new features, performance enhanceme

New Features

1. Added Apple Login

Users who signed up and completed paid subscriptions in the PRISM iOS app using an Apple account can now sign up/log in with the same Apple account in the PC app.

As shown below, click the Apple icon to log in with your Apple account.

2. Facebook Sticker & Avatar sticker reception

The new version adds Facebook permissions to receive Facebook Sticker Comments and Avatar stickers.

When starting a live stream, you must set the visibility under Live Information to Timeline and Public, as shown below.

Sticker Comments and Avatar stickers sent by viewers on Facebook can be checked in real time through the Chat source or the Chat window in PRISM Live Studio.

3. Usability Improvements

Pixel display for preview area

• A pixel value is now shown for overflow areas to help identify how far a source extends outside the screen.

Source alignment guide lines in the preview area

• Enable the option under Settings > General Tab > Source Alignment Shapping, then choose from the following options as needed:

  • Snap Sources to edge of screen

  • Snap Sources to other sources

  • Snap Sources to horizontal and vertical center

Added Flip Horizontally option

• A new Flip Horizontally option is supported under Video Capture Device > Properties.

Vertical resolution added to Base (Canvas) Resolution settings

• In Settings > Video, the Base (Canvas) Resolution now supports Vertical resolution in addition to Horizontal.

Added Auto-paste Stream key only option

• When selecting Add channel > Add custom channel, you can now choose to copy only the stream key.

1. Automatic channel addition when logging into Twitch and Facebook

• Twitch Login: Twitch channels are automatically added. Login window → Twitch login → Email code input → Grant app access → Login and automatic channel addition (enter app)

• Facebook Login: Facebook channels are automatically added. Facebook login → Check notification on another device → Trust this device → Confirm Facebook account linking → Login and automatic channel addition (enter app)

2. Performance Improvements

Faster response time when switching Dual Output

• Switching Dual Output on/off is now significantly faster on both AMD and NVIDIA devices. The improvement is particularly noticeable when Dual Output is disabled.

Improved app installer execution speed

• The updated version shows approximately 16% faster initial launch time on both Win10 and Win11, while maintaining stability.

3. Video Capture Device (when selecting Lens in the device)

• Changing the output resolution in the Lens app now updates the resolution within the Video Capture Device source.

• Due to changes in Direct Connect behavior, unsupported options in Properties for ‘video capture device’ are now hidden.

4. Improved announcement links

• Clickable links have been added in the Notices & Updates section for easier access to details.

5. “Contact Us” improvements

• A copy user ID feature has been added to the Contact Us window for convenience.

6. PRISM branding text removed for paid users

• Previously, YouTube Live Info included the message: “This stream is created with #PRISMLiveStudio” This message is no longer shown for paid subscribers.

7. Music Playlist Improvements

• Improved Play in Order and Shuffle Play buttons

• When the music playlist is disabled, the play button is also disabled

• Improved playback behavior within the playlist

8. Additional Usability Improvements

• Reduced unnecessary dropped-frame notifications in statistics

• Improved installer execution speed

• Crop effect now precisely displays actual crop area and pixel values

• Improved camera resolution/FPS selection on Windows
